The Senior Financial Advisor position at BDFS demands someone with a go getter attitude that has already begun their career.  Perhaps this is an individual that has firsthand experience working for a competitor company and they’ve come to the realization that doing the right thing by their clients is important to them.  Experience has taught us that we need someone who is willing to put in extra effort at the start of their career in order to set themselves up for success later down the road.  This candidate will have to work towards goals with the help of their mentors and supervisor.  BDFS understands that setting up this type of career takes dedication and time which is why we provide a salary in the beginning while the candidate gains their licensing (company paid) and gathers a client base to support their own income one day.  In the long term, this is a commission only position that has uncapped potential with a performance based quarterly bonus and our other benefit offerings.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher, mandatory
  • Series 65
  • Insurance License
  • 2+ years’ experience in Finance, preferred
  • eMoney experience, preferred
  • Riskalyze experience, preferred
  • CFP® or ChFC® designations, or has begun the process (financial assistance may be provided)
  • A preexisting book of business is highly recommended (we have experience with this transition)
  • Experience working in a database and data entry
  • Likeable personality and kind disposition
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities
  • Being a connected individual is highly helpful
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally
  • Fiduciary belief system
  • Desire for a lighthearted culture
  • Collaborative approach to growing the firm
  • Organized and self-motivated mindset
  • Willingness to network (some events are held after business hours)
  • Transportation to Rehoboth Beach office (this position is in-person only)
  • Clean background check
