Financial Planning

A Coordinated Plan for the Whole of Your Financial Life.

Most people's financial lives are scattered across accounts, advisors, and decades of decisions made on the fly. A written financial plan pulls those pieces together — cash flow, savings, debt, taxes, insurance, estate — into one document that actually helps you make choices.

At Black Diamond, financial planning isn't a sales document. It's a written plan, built around your goals and revised as your life changes. Whether you're saving for college, taking over a family business, or planning for a special needs situation, the work is the same: clarity first, recommendations second, action third.

Key Concerns:

  • Long-term wealth accumulation
  • Financially protecting their son with special needs

Financial Planning — Common Questions

Do I need a written financial plan?

A written plan helps when your financial life touches more than one area at once — cash flow, taxes, insurance, estate, and investments. If you're juggling multiple accounts, advisors, or upcoming decisions, the plan is what coordinates them.

What's covered in a Black Diamond financial plan?

Cash flow and savings, debt structure, tax strategy, insurance coverage, investments, estate planning, and any goal-specific work (education, business sale, special needs, real estate). Every recommendation is explained in plain English and revised as your life changes.

How is Black Diamond different from a traditional brokerage?

We're an independent fiduciary RIA. Our advisory services are fee-based, with no product contracts and no firm-level sales obligations. Specific fee arrangements are disclosed in our ADV Part 2A and Form CRS, linked in the footer.
