Joseph McGloin

Originally from Dover, Delaware, Joe McGloin is an Associate Advisor at Black Diamond Financial Solutions. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in Financial Planning and Wealth Management and a concentration in Corporate Finance. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, and Certified in Blockchain and Digital Assets℠ designation.

Joe works with retirees to simplify their tax planning, protect the assets they have worked hard to build, and create sustainable retirement income plans that support the lives they want to lead. He helps clients navigate decisions about their life savings with clarity and confidence. He also has a particular interest in helping pilots and their families coordinate retirement benefits, investments, and tax planning as they prepare for life beyond the cockpit.

Joe believes strong client relationships begin with listening, earning trust, and following through. His goal is to make financial planning approachable and help clients understand how each decision fits into their broader financial picture.

Outside the office, Joe serves as an assistant coach for the Cape Henlopen High School boys soccer team, helping players grow both on and off the field through teamwork, discipline, and accountability. He also enjoys beach volleyball, basketball, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Now living in the Delaware beach area, Joe values giving back to his community and appreciates the people who have helped shape who he is today.
