Mark Nehra

Mark Nehra brings a 32-year career in the chemical industry to financial planning — three decades of corporate finance, operations, and the kind of process discipline that translates well to the work he does now. He earned his Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Detroit, his MBA at SUNY Buffalo, and the CFP® designation after he "retired" from chemicals in 2008.

He's been in wealth management since then, joining Black Diamond in 2017. Mark works with individuals, families, and closely held business owners through a seven-step planning process — understanding the client's circumstances, identifying goals, analyzing alternatives, developing recommendations, presenting them, implementing them, and monitoring progress. The process maps out where the client is headed and establishes a clear commitment between Mark and the people he serves.

Mark is a past President and long-time Board member of the Delaware chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He lives in Felton, DE with his wife Sally; they have three adult sons. He's a competitive Bridge player who travels for regional tournaments when their schedule allows.
